With names like Nitro and Scorpion, the members of Spanish thrash purists Infernoise are not exactly pretending to be anything but what they are. Their debut album, THE CHAINSAW'S LAW, also abhors pretension, favoring a back-to-basics approach. Songs like 'Hellrider' fuse skull-cracking rhythmic riffs with arid blues-metal flourishes, not unlike Pantera with a more international flair. The punishing title track is a study in whiplash cables of heavy guitar noise that leave bloody gouges wherever they hit.
